About Me

I’m a clinical and counselling psychologist registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario. I specialize in supporting adults through a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, life transitions, and identity-related concerns. My goal is to help you understand yourself more deeply, break free from unhelpful patterns, and create meaningful, lasting change.

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and tailored to your unique needs. I draw from evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), integrating tools that best support your growth and healing. I believe therapy works best when it’s a flexible, responsive partnership that is rooted in trust, curiosity, and compassion.

As a first-generation Korean-Canadian, I recognize how culture, identity, and family shape our lived experiences. I often work with individuals navigating cultural identity, bicultural dynamics, or intergenerational challenges, and I’m passionate about providing culturally sensitive care that helps you feel seen, heard, and empowered.

I completed my Ph.D. and M.A. in Clinical and Counselling Psychology at the University of Toronto, and a B.A. in Psychology from McGill University. My clinical training has included hospital, university, and community settings. I completed my residency at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH), with a focus on mood, anxiety, and trauma-related disorders. I’ve also trained at Brampton Civic Hospital, North York General Hospital, and the University of Toronto Health & Wellness Centre. In addition to private practice, I work part-time at Sunnybrook Health Science Centre’s WSIB Mental Health Program.

Alongside clinical work, I’ve presented research on emotion processing and psychotherapy at national and international conferences, including the Canadian Psychological Association and the Society for Psychotherapy Research. My work has been published in peer-reviewed journals such as JMIR Cancer and the Journal of Psycholinguistic Research.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time outdoors, exploring new cuisines, planning adventures to new places, and cheering on the Toronto Raptors.
